- NewGuides: how to play both games, how Spades scoring really works, and how to run a cash game or a whole season. Written to be useful whether or not you use this site.
- NewA public leaderboard, filterable by game. You only appear if you've left your directory listing and your results visible — guests never do.
- FixedEvery signed-in page was returning a server error. One bad line in the new notices panel was taking down the whole page it sat in. Fixed, and the panel can no longer do that again.

August 11, 2026Community points, notices, and a tab set that matches
- NewCommunity points — a permanent score you carry across every night you play, anywhere on the site, on any game. Last place still scores; turning up is most of it.
- NewSix tiers to climb, from Walk-in to Cardmaster. Compared to your own last tier, never to anybody else's — nobody gets demoted because somebody had a good month.
- NewNotices in the header: new followers, season invitations, nights coming up, and a nudge when there's a new version.
- NewSpades now has Controller, Scorecard, Players and Settings, matching Hold'em. The clock sits dead centre on both.
- NewDelete a scheduled game straight from the list. Finished nights can't be deleted — they're other people's statistics.
- ChangedOne open cash game at a time. Nights inside a season are unaffected — there are meant to be many of those.
- FixedMembers and Profile stopped loading for a while. Fixed, and the code now survives the same mistake instead of showing an error page.
- FixedSite Settings and Site Content were missing the site header and footer.

August 11, 2026Spades, start to finish
- NewSpades: a square table for the TV, four seats with partners facing each other, and a QR code your crew scans to take a seat.
- NewBidding with nil and blind nil, tricks tapped in one at a time, bags that carry, and a game that ends when somebody reaches the target.
- NewRotation nights: more than four people, the extras sit out, and whoever sat gets the chairs next game.
- NewHouse rules — target score, nil, blind nil, bags — agreed in the lobby and locked at the first deal, so nothing can be rewritten after people have bid against it.
- NewJoin codes finally have somewhere to go. /join takes a code, and a host can send one link instead of a link and then a code.
- NewPrivacy settings on your profile: whether you're listed, whether your location shows, whether your results show, and whether anyone can see when you were last active.
- NewMembers show when they were last around — but only if they've turned it on.
- ChangedPlans renamed: Game Night is now Host, at $8 a month. Tournament is now Cardmaster.
- FixedChanges took minutes to appear — granting access, or a new member registering — and refreshing didn't help. Query results were being cached in front of the database. They aren't now.
- FixedArrows on buttons rendered at the mercy of whatever font your device fell back to. They're drawn chevrons now.
- FixedGame listings said nothing about which game a night was. Both Hold'em and Spades are labelled.

August 10, 2026Tournaments, seasons, and a night that can't end with nobody winning
- FixedEnding a night early recorded no winner and paid the pot to nobody. Closing a game now asks you to confirm who finished where.
- ChangedThe thing that owns your seasons is called a Tournament everywhere now, rather than being invisible.
- NewThe site tells search engines about itself properly — a sitemap, a robots file, and pages that no longer claim to be copies of the home page.
